Krista Kitowicz Receives MIT Excellence Award

Krista Lance Kitowicz recently received the 2012 MIT Excellence Award, one of the highest honors presented to MIT staff in recognition of their work. Krista has worked as an Events Coordinator in the Office of Corporate Relations in the Industrial Liaison Program at MIT since 2008.

The award was for Greening MIT and “the impact of her efforts has extended from a tangible reduction in material waste to the more abstract but equally important image of social responsibility and progressive thinking on behalf of MIT to its corporate colleagues.” Krista was honored in a special ceremony at the Kresge Auditorium at MIT, Cambridge, MA, on February 28.
Krista went to the Berlin Central School, graduating as salutatorian in 1998, and was a 2002 graduate of Cornell University receiving her degree in Communications. She is the daughter of Nan Feeney Lance of Petersburgh and the sister of Erin and David.
