March 30, 2012 By eastwickpress

submitted by Lorri Parisi
Parisi Designs & Co., A Floral Framing & Gift Gallery now replaces the long time Upsy Daisy Flowers on 53 Church Street in Hoosick Falls. Owner Lorri Parisi has worked in the floral industry for 30 years and wanted to keep the florist open when she heard it was about to close. The new shop offers fresh and silk custom floral arrangements for all occasions including birthdays, anniversary, weddings, funerals and “Just Because” or to say “I Love You.”

telephone numbers and offer the same services the former florist did, plus more. Parisi Designs & Co. offers custom picture framing at a cost equal to or less than the sale price of some of the large chain stores located an hour away.  You can order custom vinyl graphics to add a slogan, inspiration, name or graphic to your doors or walls in the home, office or wedding reception. A new popular feature at weddings or events is to have the monogram of the couple on the dance floor or limousine windows.
The new owners have added gourmet chocolates and a wedding planning service.  The store is still a Yankee Candle dealer, featuring the Yankee Candle floral arrangement, and has a nice selection of $1 greeting cards.
The name of the store is a result of the business plan to promote local people. Lorri has invited various professional quality artisans and craftsmen to display their creations in the store on a consignment basis. No fee is charged for the display space. Currently the vendors include Dot Van Apeldoorn’s Beaded Jewelry line and her children’s book and note cards. Also, Violet Wilcox, an artist in watercolors and oils, has a few of her paintings on display.
Also available through the store is Ambit Energy, a method to save money on your home electric bill through NYSEG or National Grid.   Another product line is Visalus, a  nutritionally balanced weight loss program.
Lorri is a licensed mortgage loan officer with The Funding Source Mortgage Banker and specializes in debt consolidation or solutions and refinances or new home mortgages.  She meets with clients evenings or weekends, at the convenience of the people who work during the day and cannot go to a traditional bank.
An Open House to celebrate the Grand Opening is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, March 31-April 1. Featured will be blooming plants and floral arrangements that will be available for Easter.  Refreshments will be served and a prize drawing will be held.
One of the Easter Arrangements featured for the holiday is  “The Golden Egg Bouquet” which will have an egg in each arrangement and all arrangements will be a winner, but there will be one surprise grand prize.
Stop by this weekend  to see the new designs and the store layout.  Some exciting new flower varieties and designs are being introduced.
