The Petersburgh Public Library book discussion group will be discussing The Help by Kathryn Stockett on Tuesday, March 13, at 7:30 pm. Everyone who has read the book is invited to join in the discussion. Refreshments will be served.
One of the lesser known library services is the electronic materials available through the Upper Hudson Library System. There are audio books, ebooks and videos which can be downloaded from the system. For those who have recently acquired an electronic device such as a Nook®, Kindle® or Ipad®, there will be a workshop at the Library on Wednesday, March 21, at 6 pm. You are invited to bring your device with you or just come to learn more about what is available and how to use the materials. There will be a variety of devices which will be demonstrated. If you bring your own, you will be able to download a book onto your device. This workshop will be conducted by Jo-Ann Benedetti, the Upper Hudson Library System Manager of Information and Outreach Services.
