PVMCC News

March 30, 2012 By eastwickpress

submitted by Mary Lou Walters
Roger LeMere, who has done the scheduling for the Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center for many years, has recently had a serious cardiac event. It will take the whole board to fill to job he has been doing.
Folks may have noticed folks walking the roads in bright green T-shirts. These Walk Around Town shirts are available for sale at PVMCC. They have a map of the Town on the back and a picture of the PVMCC on the front. There are also maps available if you wish to be one of the few who take the challenge each year to walk every road in town. By doing less than two miles a day, the task can be accomplished by Labor Day. The T-shirts originally sold for $15 but can now be had for a donation of your choice. Proceeds will cover the cost of the shirts. Stop in any time the Hall is open for a PVMCC event or call 658-2862 and leave a message to get your T-shirt.
As the warm weather moves in and basements and garages get cleaned out, keep in mind that PVMCC sponsors a town-wide tag sale each year. This year it will be Saturday, May 19.
And as outside gatherings are arranged, PVMCC may be able to save your picnic. If you have an outside event planned and rain is going to ruin it, give PVMCC a call. The Hall may be available for last minute rentals for only $15 an hour.
Thanks to Peg Schaeffer, PVMCC now has a china set for up to 20 people for those who want a table. This is available without extra charge for those who rent the hall.
