Stephentown Future Meeting Number Two

March 9, 2012 By eastwickpress

Sustainable Stephentown will meet on March 15, from 7 to 9 pm at the Stephentown Memorial Library to continue the discussion about the future of Stephentown. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come share ideas for the future of our town. This is an ongoing conversation.
At the last meeting, 15 people attended and kicked off the discussion. This meeting will focus on identifying and prioritizing the specific businesses and services that residents would like in their town in the future. The group will also start to identify how to attract or create local businesses, and continue the discussion on the many advantages of local businesses and how to encourage townspeople to support local businesses. A draft vision statement for future town planning will be discussed. As the conversation progresses, the group will work on how to make its vision for the future of Stephentown a reality and how it can work with the Town Board on comprehensive planning for the town.
