Hoosick Falls Police Seek Tips On Alleged Home Invader

On Sunday, April 1, the Hoosick Falls Police Department completed its investigation of a reported Home Invasion that occurred on Saturday morning March 24, 2012.
The initial report was that three females had broken into a home on Elm Street in the Village of Hoosick Falls where they assaulted a 26 year old female.
[private]Investigation revealed that the female victim was assaulted by her 28 year old boyfriend. The victim’s initial report was caused by a threat that the boyfriend made toward her if she reported the incident. Investigation revealed that the boyfriend had come to the victim’s home in an intoxicated condition and got into an argument with the victim. The victim was initially assaulted in the home and was able to flee. Upon arrival of patrols victim stated that three girls broke into her apartment and assaulted her. She was transported to Samaritan Hospital where she was treated and released later in the day.
A warrant has been issued for Edward C. Cook, age 28, of Hoosick Falls for Assault 2nd, Unlawful Imprisonment, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Intimidation of a Victim. At the present time Cook has not been located, and the Hoosick Falls Police Department is asking anyone with any information on Mr. Cook to please contact the Hoosick Falls Police Department at 518-686-7900. All information will be confidential.
