Hoosick Grange News

April 6, 2012 By eastwickpress

What a musical night! The Hoosick Falls Central School Jazz Band was just awesome. The large crowd at the Grange on March 28 was not disappointed. Mr. Brown, their leader, introduced each Jazz Band member. It’s been three years in a row that the Band has entertained us. Many members of the audience grew up with the big band sound and love that music. They played many songs such as. “Star Wars,” “Tuxedo Junction,” “String of Pearls,” “Hang on Snoopy,: “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” “Rock Around The Clock” and not in that order. Everyone enjoyed the music. The Lecturer thanked the Band and Mr. Brown and invited them to have some refreshments.
Our next meeting is on April 11, and we have a change in program. Mr. Don Babbitt will be showing a video on the Rutland Corkscrew Railroad at 8 pm. The refreshment committee is Louise Ciuk and Mary Ramancus.
