April 13, 2012 By eastwickpress

by Bea Peterson
On Monday, April 2, members of the Hoosick Falls Kiwanis Club K-Kids presented HFCS Kindergarten teacher Sarah Fleming with a check for $50. The funds will be used to purchase helmets for Kindergarten students who participate in the class’s Trikeathon to benefit the Albany Medical Center’s Children’s Hospital. [private]Last year the Kindergarten Trikeathon raised over $2,500. The K-Kids earned the $50 by making and selling tissue paper flowers.

K-Kids VP Jay Betit is presenting a check to Mrs. Fleming, along with K-Kids Treasurer James Larson, Michael Cornell, Ben Smith, Secretary Alexandria Betit, Isaiah Bressard and Hailey Bressard. Other K-Kids members not pictured are President Jason Brock, Jenna Brock, Lauren Betit and Caden Keys. Their advisor is Wendy Larson, assisted by Christina Betit. (Bea Peterson photo)
