Petersburgh Library News

April 27, 2012 By eastwickpress

The Petersburgh Public Library annual Plant, Book and Bake Sale will be held Saturday, May 19, from 9 am to 1 pm. Donations of plants and baked goods would be greatly appreciated. Proceeds from the sale will help fund the summer reading program, the purchase of audio books and electronic books for the Kindle®, Nook® and other electronic devices.
Day of the sale suggestions will be welcome for titles of books that the public would like to have available to them in electronic format. There will be clipboards with spaces for your recommendations and the format you would like to use. To the extent possible the Library will make purchases which will then be available through the Upper Hudson Library System catalog. Recommendations can be for adult, teen or children’s books. So, please give us your input on what you would like to see available in the UHLS catalog.
Summer Reading Program
The summer reading program will offer a very special family program on Thursday, July 5, at 7 pm at the Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center. The Puppet People will present a puppet show, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” So, save the date, invite a friend and join us for this very special program.
