W.J. Cowee Is The Topic At The Taconic Valley Historical Society Meeting

Mrs. Sharon Klein, Berlin Town Historian, will be the guest speaker at the April 16 meeting of the Taconic Valley Historical Society. Klein will present a program on W. J. Cowee – The Man and the Company.
W. J. Cowee was the driving force behind the progressive community that was Berlin in the late 1800s and early 1900s. He did many things in addition to starting a company which lasted more than a hundred years and provided employment for many who lived in the valley. Come to the meeting and learn a story from W. J. Cowee’s roots as well as a look at the many things he accomplished and the history of success of the company he founded.
Meetings are held at the United Methodist Church, South Main Street, Berlin, the third Monday of each month at 7:30 pm. The programs are free and open to the public.
