Dianne L. Dittmeyer

New Lebanon – Dianne L. Baumli Dittmeyer, 52, of Canaan Road, New Lebanon, NY, died on Thursday afternoon, May 10, 2012, at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield, MA, surrounded by her loving family under the care of Hospice Care in the Berkshires. She had resided there for the past four years.
Born June 1, 1959, in Pittsfield, MA, she was the daughter of June Smith Baumli of New Lebanon and the late Gregory L. Baumli.  Dianne was a graduate of New Lebanon High School and Hudson Valley Community College. She was attending Siena College at the time of her illness. Dianne worked at KB Toys in Pittsfield in the accounts department before retiring due to illness. She was a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in New Lebanon. Dianne loved gardening and holiday decorating.
Survivors, besides her mother, include a daughter, Rebekah Dittmeyer of New Lebanon, two brothers, Gregory L. Baumli, Jr. and Mark W. Baumli of New Lebanon, and a nephew, Christopher J. Baumli.
A Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial was celebrated by Rev. John L. Close on Tuesday, May 15, at 10 am in the Church of Immaculate Conception, Route 20, New Lebanon. Cremation followed.
Relatives and friends were invited to the Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, 457 NY 43, Stephentown, on Monday from 4 to 7 pm for visitation.
Contributions in Dianne’s memory may be made to the Shrine Maintenance Fund at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, P.O. Box 218, New Lebanon, NY, 12125.
Dianne’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Rita and Gail who helped Dianne at home before she went to Hillcrest, Unit 2 of Hillcrest Commons for their compassion and care shown towards Dianne and to Hospice Care in the Berkshires for their help and comfort care given to our beloved daughter, mother and sister.
