On Saturday, April 28, Wendy Larson, formerly Wendy Saunders Morin, celebrated the 25th anniversary of her business, Everchanging Hairstyles. Friends stopped in from late morning to afternoon to celebrate the occasion. They talked about old times, looked through a scrapbook and enjoyed refreshments.
[private]Wendy opened her first salon on Church Street soon after completing Beauty School in 1987. She said her vision for the salon was not just about doing hair. She wanted to make people feel good. She wanted to wash away the trials of their day and build relationships with her clients.
Wendy soon outgrew her first Church Street salon and moved to a larger location on upper Church Street. In 1990 she had a staff of five, including a nail technician. By 1993 she had once again outgrown the space. That year she purchased her present location, 199 Church Street, and she has been there since then.
Wendy said it hasn’t always been easy. She remembers days of long hours behind the chair, many days of laughing with clients and other days of praying and crying with them. “I have been blessed with much greatness in our little community,” she said. “Blessed with many clients I now consider my friends and family. I want to thank each and every one of them for making me so successful and so blessed.”
Wendy takes courses each year so she can grow in her business and be the best she can be for her community. Throughout the years Wendy has donated to many community causes, and she has served on several committees and been part of many organizations. She is currently a member of the Hoosick Falls Kiwanis Club and youth leader for the Kiwanis K-Kids.
Wendy is known as a teacher and role model for young people choosing cosmetology as a career. She has endless energy and boundless optimism for what can be accomplished through hard work and faith in oneself. The best example of that is shown in the 25 years her business has been so successful.
