Explore Watercolor Techniques In Grafton

May 25, 2012 By eastwickpress

Take part in a creative experience learning about the joys of watercolor, sponsored by the Grafton Community Library.  Free exploration of color, techniques and subject matter in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere await you in a series of four watercolor painting classes at the Everett Wagar Senior Center on the Saturdays of June 2, 16, 23 and 30 from 10 am until noon. There is no class on June 9.
All levels of experience are welcome, from beginners to seasoned, with a suggested minimum age of twelve. Pre-registration is required, along with a ten dollar materials fee payable at registration. Class size is limited, and therefore participants must commit to attending all four sessions. Stop in at the Library at 2455 NY Route 2 to sign up.
Instructor and artist Mary Frances Millet works in watercolor, ceramics, photography, collage and fabric in Schenectady.  She has been teaching watercolor to diverse populations at various public and private venues in the Capital District for six years, most recently at the Arts Center of the Capital Region.  Her teaching method enables the artist to build on his or her individual strengths rather than make a cookie cutter copy of her examples.
