Honoring Veterans At The Schaghticoke Fair

May 18, 2012 By eastwickpress

To benefit the Veterans Hall at The Schaghticoke Fair there will be a table set up at two events this Spring. The first event, at which the Veterans Hall Committee will be present, is the Pet Festival held at the Schaghticoke Fair on May 20, from 10 am to 3 pm, which will include a bake sale to raise money for expanding the displays.
The second event is the Painted Pony Rodeo, also at the Schaghticoke Fair, on June 2. Gates open for the rodeo at 3 pm.
Tickets will be sold for a raffle at both the May and June events, with the drawing to take place in mid-June. Veterans please help us honor you!
Donations (or loans) of memorabilia such as pictures, uniforms, brochures, medals, gas masks, names, etc. are wanted for the time period of Civil War through to the current war to be used in expanding the display to honor all Rensselaer County Veterans. Monetary donations to improve the building will be accepted.
Call Jody, 518-663-8156, or Kim,  518-663-9970.
