A tentative agenda for each meeting of the Board shall be prepared by the Village Clerk and given to the Mayor, Trustees and each Department Head on the Friday before each regularly scheduled meeting. All Department Heads, Trustees and the Mayor should make a concentrated effort to include all business before them to the Village Clerk no later than 8 am on the Friday prior to each regularly scheduled Board meeting. Meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6 pm, unless otherwise advertised.
Committees
The first name of each committee is Chairman and has the responsibility for the operation of said Department; the other persons named will act as advisor to the Chairman. It shall be the duty of the Chairman to follow up the resolutions of the Board pertaining to their Department and to see that they are properly executed. In case of emergency, the Committee Chairman shall notify the Mayor or Deputy Mayor at once.

All salaried personnel receive no overtime pay and may be called to work at any time by the Chairman of the Committee or by the Mayor. Salaried personnel are on call seven days a week and are required to work regular hours pertaining to the work week of the Village. All vacation time must be used by the end of each fiscal year. No vacation time will be carried over. Benefits are not provided to part time employees.
There was a 3.5% salary increase for Highway Superintendent, Water Plant Operators, Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators, Village Clerk and Court Staff. There were no increases for Mayor or Village Board members. Union employees do not fall under either of these categories as their increases are negotiated according to the contract.
The following positions are classified as Department Heads and are expected to attend Department Head meetings and annual training as needed: Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Sub-Registrar, Building Inspector, Sewer Inspector, Public Works Superintendent, Chief of Police, Water Plant Operator.
Zoning Board – Chairperson – vacant; members – Harold Nichols, Sharon Davendonis, Herb Loretan and one vacancy remains. The Zoning Board will meet on an as needed basis.
Planning Board And Community Development – Chairperson – Gale Leva; members – Nancy Martelle, Richard Dickinson and two vacancies. The Planning Board will meet on the third Wednesday of every month at 7 pm unless otherwise advertised.
Emergency Purchasing
Chairmen are authorized to spend up to $300 on services or materials in an emergency without Board approval. However, this voucher must be brought to the next regular meeting for Board review. In addition, the Mayor is authorized to pay routine bills prior to the Village Board meeting. Bills will include electric, telephone and health insurance. As with the above, the bill will be presented at the next regular Board meeting for approval.
Hiring Of Personnel
There will be no hiring of personnel without the consent of the Village Board and the Mayor.
Overtime
Overtime must be approved by the Deputy Mayor or Mayor. No scheduled overtime is allowed at this time.
