Community spirited kids and adults spread out through Hoosick Falls on Saturday, May 5, to make the Village look its very best. [private]Folks from the Hoosic River Watershed Association (HooRWA) hauled tires and other debris from the River, much of it undoubtedly the result of Tropical Storm Irene. A crew from All Saints Church straightened fences and cleaned up the parking lot at the Hoosick Area Church Association (HACA) Food Closet on John Street. The HFCS National Honor Society painted the outside of Castle children’s playground. Girl Scouts, Brownies and Daisies spruced up Main Street. Elsewhere teams of high school students, including Youth Impact, Girls Lacrosse, ADAPT and more

participated. Members of the Community Alliance Church, HAYC3 and True Value all contributed as well. Countless individuals did their part throughout the Village. At noon they gathered in Wood Park with HAYC3 event organizers for refreshments.
A ‘well done’ to all the participants who took the time on a beautiful pleasantly warm Saturday morning to make their Village beautiful for everyone.
