Hoosick Grange News

May 4, 2012 By eastwickpress

It was open meeting night at Hoosick Grange on April 25. It was preceded by a covered dish supper that was just delicious with a great variety of foods. After the supper we had a video on the Rutland Corkscrew Railroad. This was the part that ran to Johnsonville and beyond. We had already seen the first part of the video from North Bennington to Chatham. We had people comment on their train experience. We thanked Martha and Don Babbitt for the program.
Rensselaer County Pomona Grange will meet at Hoosick Grange on May 2. It is a covered dish supper at 7 pm.
Our next meeting is on May 9. We will be having a video on Baffin Island and Greenland. Anyone interested in seeing the program is welcome to attend at 8 pm. Elsie Marpe, Mary Marpe and Loie Slingerland are in charge of refreshments. Don’t forget – the Rolled Sugar Cookie contest is on May 23. Start making cookies – you could be a winner.
