Masons Honored For Many Years Of Service

Honored on May 28 for their many years of service to the Masons were (with their certificates) Worshipful Ira S. Fisk with 70 years, Brother Harry L. Michie with 50 years and Worshipful Harold J. Stevens with 30 years. The three are all Past Masters of the Van Rensselaer Star Lodge. With them is the Very Worshipful Frank Burek, Assistant Grand Lecturer, and Worshipful Bruce Hansen, Master of the Van Rensselaer Star Lodge. Fisk is 95 years old. He is the oldest living Mason in this area. During the ceremony he commented, “You know you are getting old when your eldest child is collecting Social Security.” Ira and his late wife Elva have two children, Jennifer in Maine and Ted in Chicago. Fisk was Plant Manager for Lovejoy’s in Cambridge before retiring. He is one of the founding incorporators of the North Hoosick Fire Department. (Bea Peterson photo)
