The Great American Pet Festival

May 18, 2012 By eastwickpress

Calling one, calling all pet owners. The Schaghticoke Fair is proud to announce the 5th Annual Great American Pet Festival to be held on Sunday, May 20, at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds, from 10 am until 3 pm. The festival, sponsored by PETCO, will feature give-a ways, pet groomers, on-site pet adoptions, Save-A-Bull, vendors, rescue groups, raffles, demonstrations (including dog agility), 4-H information, a lecture from Alternative Animal Care Therapies and more. The Chicks n’ Chaps Drill team will be performing throughout the day.
Bring your pets! A fashion pet parade will take place in the afternoon, so dress to impress. Prizes will be awarded.
After the parade we will have a blessing of the animals. On hand will be horses, rabbits, dogs, miniature goats and some surprises!
There will be fun for the kids, face painting and pony rides, too. Food vendors will be on site. Admission is $5 per car. For more information, please visit our new website at www.schaghticokefair.org or call Mary at 518-753-4411, x13. The Schaghticoke Fairgrounds is located at Rts. 67 and 40 in Schaghticoke. This is a rain or shine event.
