Charles Flint has been an art and antiques dealer for over forty years. He is also a lecturer, writer and researcher of the arts and local history. His special expertise lies in fine arts, early American furniture and accessories, early blown and molded glass, bottles, stoneware, polychrome folk art, New England architecture and the Shakers.
Dan Lorber has been buying and selling used and rare books out of an 1840s farmhouse since 1988. He is interested in a broad range of books and paper ephemera. Over the years people have brought him books in the hope that they had some unusual value and have received big payoffs on several occasions. What he always says to people is “you never know what’s in a box of old books. Never get rid of old books before showing them to someone knowledgeable. And never make an assumption that an old book is worthless – chances are your assumption is based on wrong concepts or beliefs.” Dan is also adept at repairing old books and you can inquire about that service.
