The first half of the concert will be The Sleeping Beauty ballet. Fifteen year old Molly Ruebel of Berlin will dance the lead role of Princess Aurora. She has danced with the Albany Berkshire Ballet Company several times in the Nutcracker ballet. Katherine Stevenson, from Hoosick Falls, will dance the part of the Lilac Fairy. Katherine has danced with the New York City Ballet Company, Akjun Ballet Company and The Berkshire Ballet Company. Caleb Tifft will be the Prince.
The second half of the concert will consist of National dances and classic ballet variations. The concert will include a Scottish Sword Dance and three Irish Step Dances. The program will conclude with “The Blue Danube Waltz.”
The students have been working hard to perfect their dance numbers and they would like you to come see their performance. Students are from Cambridge, Hoosick Falls, Berlin, Petersburgh, Bennington, and Shaftsbury, VT.
There is an admission fee. At intermission refreshments will be available and the proceeds will go to the Girl Scouts.
Miss Olivia has danced professionally in 12 countries and won a Gold Medal. For more information, call the Ballet School at 518-686-9440.
