The Beach Nature Center is open all summer long from 12 to 2 pm (on days the swimming beach is open) with Park naturalists and summer interns on hand to teach about the plants and animals living in the Park through interactive exhibits and live specimens.
Grafton Lakes State Park’s swimming is open Friday-Tuesday from 10 am to 6 pm through Labor Day. The Park’s 25 miles of hiking trails are also open to bikers and hikers 365 days a year.  Nearby Cherry Plain State Park currently has swimming on weekends and goes to a Wednesday-Sunday schedule starting July 4.
At both Grafton Lakes and Cherry Plain State Parks, vehicles are subject to a parking fee, but all summer education programs are free with park admission.  Grafton’s fee is $8 on days swimming is open and $6 when closed, and Cherry Plain’s fee is $7 when swimming is open and $6 when swimming is closed. Between these two parks, patrons will have access to swimming in cool refreshing lakes seven days a week in July and August.
For more information about these and other summer program offerings, please contact the Park Naturalist at 279-1155.
