Peter Paul Melesky

Eagle Bridge – Peter Paul Melesky, 64, passed away after a short illness on May 23, 2012, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albany, NY. Born on December 15, 1947, in Waterbury, CT, he was the son of the late Frank Melesky and Eva (Kukanskis) Melesky, now Eva Blinstrub of Hoosick Falls, NY.
Peter attended St. Mary’s Academy in Hoosick Falls. He served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany in 1968 during the Soviet/Czechoslovakian Crisis. Peter retired from Oak Industries in Hoosick Falls. He was a beloved member of the St. Stanislaw Society and the Eagles Club, both in Hoosick Falls.
Survivors include his devoted son, Jason and wife Yolanda Melesky of Port St. Lucie, FL, three grandchildren, Peter, Eva and Delores Melesky, all of Port St. Lucie, his mother, Eva, his sister, Sharon and husband Ralph Davendonis of Hoosick Falls, his brothers, Frank J. Melesky of Celina, OH, Robert and wife Elise Melesky of Eagle Bridge, NY, and Michael and wife Jeanne Blinstrub of Clifton Park, NY. Peter is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is pre-deceased by his step-father, Walter Blinstrub, and a brother, Thomas Melesky.
Funeral services were Saturday, May 26, at 10:30 am from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at 11 am from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 8 pm. Memorial contributions may be to either St. Mary’s Academy or the Karen McGovern Memorial Fund through the funeral home.
