The Petersburgh Public Library Summer Reading Program has begun. Everyone is invited to come on Monday, July 2, at 10:30 am for “Let’s Drum” presented by Jonathan Duda.  Participants from all levels of musical ability can come and make noise using bells, shakers and a variety of drums.
On Thursday, July 5, at 7 pm everyone is invited to a special presentation of  “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.”  This show is a thrilling comic rendition of Washington Irving’s haunting tale. Focusing on themes of bullies, jealousy and superstition it features handcrafted marionettes, two life-sized puppets, special lighting and smoke effects and both classical and traditional folk music. Join The Puppet People in this masterful Marionette production, but be careful…. not to lose your head!!!   The program will be held at the Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center.
On Friday, July 6, at 10:30 am Grafton Lakes State Park will be presenting a program about spiders.  Come and see live local spiders and participate in fun spider-themed crafts and games.
Beginning Tuesday, July 10, at 10:30 am there will be a special art program titled “Artist Dreams & Imagination – It’s all in your head!” led by art teacher Ms. Jackie Monette. Sign-up is required for the art program and you must be entering grades two through six to attend.  More details are available at the library.
