First Annual Fall Sports Fest In Hoosick

Football, Soccer, Field Hockey, Golf, Cheer… come play your sport! The First Annual Fall Sports Fest will be held on Saturday, August 4, at the George Helft Soccer Complex on South St. in Hoosick. An entry fee of $20 covers all activities. The event will benefit the Hoosick Falls Central School Varsity Club, Hoosick Falls Soccer Club and the Ed Carknard Fund.
Pancake Breakfast, 7 to 10 am, $5. The Concession Stand will be open all day! Multi-kid discounts.
Field Hockey – Girls Clinic, K to sixth grades, 10 am to noon.
7 v 7 Tournament, Team captains arrive at 10. Tournament begins after clinic. Divisions: (2012-13 grade level) seventh and eighth grade, ninth through twelfth grade and Open (over 18). Prizes for winning teams.
Cheerleading – Booth and Demonstrations
Football – Punt, Pass and Kick Competition, K to sixth grades,  8 to 10 am. Flag Football Tournament, Team captains arrive at 8 am. Tournament begins after Competition. Enter seven to ten friends in the coed flag football tournament. Teams must have at least two girls on the field during play. Divisions (2012-13 grade level) seventh and eighth  grade, ninth through twelfth grade, Open (over 18). Prizes for winners.
Soccer – Girls and Boys Clinic, K through sixth grades, 10 am to noon.
3 v 3 Tournament, Team captains arrive at 11:30 am and, Tournament begins at noon. Divisions (2012-13 grade level) third and fourth grade – any combination of gender. Fifth and sixth grade – any combination of gender, seventh and eighth grade –  girls and boys Divisions. Ninth through twelfth grade – girls, boys and coed Divisions. Open (over 18) – girls, boys and coed Divisions. Prizes for winning teams.
Other contests will be held.
Alumni Soccer game at 5 pm.
Golf – Girls and Boys Clinic, any age welcome, 9 to 11 am. Golf Competitions: Longest Drive, Chipping Contest, Putting Contest. Divisions (2012-13 grade level), Elementary, Jr. High, High School. Prizes for winners. Bring your clubs if you have them or we have some to borrow.
