Harold H. Burdick

Berlin – Harold H. Burdick, 77, of Brunswick Road, Troy, NY, died on Monday, July 16, 2012, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY, after a long illness.
Born in Berlin, NY, on February 23, 1935, he was the son of the late Loren and Julia Jones Burdick. He had lived on Brunswick Road in Troy since 1999 when he moved from the Berlin/Petersburgh area. Harold attended Berlin schools. He worked for Rynard Gundrum crushing cars and as a lathe operator for W. J. Cowee Co., Inc. in Berlin. He retired in 2001. He loved going to tag sales and was a practical joker, always playing jokes on his family and friends.
Survivors include his loving companion of 30 years, Betty Baker, his children, Judy and husband Robert Yerdon of Grafton, NY, Nancy Burdick of Bennington, VT, Robin and husband Mike Crowe of Cropseyville, NY, Vicki, wife of the late William Rose, and Harold (David) Burdick Jr., all of Petersburgh, NY, Cinda Burdick of Bennington, Loren and wife Karen Burdick of North Hoosick, NY, Carolyn and Brian Burdick, both of Troy, and Augusta Baker of Berlin, her siblings, Lloyd and wife Mabel Burdick of Petersburgh and Marie Tefoe of Moriah, NY, 25 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by siblings, Robert Burdick and Hazel Stanley.
There will be no formal religious services. Relatives and friends were invited to the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home, 66 Armsby Road, Petersburgh, on Thursday, July 19, from 4 to 7 pm for visitation. Cremation will follow.
