Janet C. Case

Hoosick Falls – Janet C. Case, 72, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY.  She was the wife of the late Charles “Nate” Case, who died on November 10, 2005.  Charles and Janet were married on February 28, 1959.
Born on February 18, 1940 in Cohoes, NY, Janet was the daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Lohnes) Watson.  She graduated from Lansingburgh High School.  Janet was a homemaker all of her life.  She enjoyed gardening, reading, bird watching, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children Kathy Williams and Rusty of Stephentown, NY, Robert “Nate” Case and wife Nina of Babcock Lake, NY, John Case and wife Dawn of Cambridge, NY, Eric Case and wife Dreama of North Petersburgh, NY, Julie Case and Wayne of North Bennington, VT, six grandchildren, Joshua, Brittney, Zachary, Alexis, Jordan Case, Justin Schmigel, two great-grandchildren, Ava Ray and Graysen Case, three sisters, Mary Brenenstuhl and husband Walt of Cohoes, NY, Patricia Slocum and husband AJ of Bennington, VT, Judi Bisson and husband Dennis of Pownal, VT, and a brother, James Watson and wife Darlene of Cohoes. Janet is pre-deceased by a sister, Elizabeth Bowen.
A Memorial Service was held on Sunday, July 21, at 2 pm from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY.  Burial followed the service at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hoosick Falls.  There were no calling hours.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad or the charity of your choice.
