• Saturday, July 21 – Wild Edible Plants and a Meal with Lee Wilson, 10 am to 4 pm. Learn identification of wild edible plants, foraging technique and etiquette, poisonous look-alikes and meal preparation; for older teens and adults, experienced and novice. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 15 and fills quickly. The cost is $15, $10 for members.
• Tuesday, July 24 – Junior Naturalist: Reptiles and Amphibians with Sam Dobin, 1 to 3 pm; open to all ages with activities, games and live animals. Learn about these curious creatures.
• Sunday, July 29 – Invasive Plant Species with David Hunt, 1 to 3 pm. Learn about invasive species on the Rensselaer Plateau, why they are so problematic and techniques to eradicate them. We will be pulling garlic mustard at the end of the program. Pre-registration is encouraged; space limited. This program is free.

If you’re looking for a cool place to beat the heat, remember Dyken Pond EE Center is located at 1,700 feet elevation making it a cool place to be. Kayak and Canoe rentals are available each day between 9 am and 4:30 pm. The last rental of the day is 3 pm.
