Ronald C. Ryder

Eagle Bridge – Ronald C. Ryder, 79, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at the Albany Medical Center. He had resided on Cobble Hill Road in Eagle Bridge, NY, and was the husband of the late Minnie Ryder, who died in 2006.
Born on December 19, 1932, in Chelsea, VT, Ronald was the son of the late Clifford and Mable (Griffin) Ryder. He graduated from Chelsea High School in 1951. Ronald was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1951 to 1959.  He was employed by Stop & Shop in North Haven, CT, as a truck driver.
Ronald was a member of the Senior Citizens in Hoosick Falls, NY. He also enjoyed playing cards, working with heavy equipment and helping people.
Survivors include his children, Dennis Ryder of Hamden, CT, Ronald Ryder Jr. of Maine, Karen St. Onge of Florida, Debbie Levine of North Branford, CT, and Ronda Roda of West Haven, CT, his brother, Larry Ryder of Southington, CT, and his sister, Joyce Downes of Wallingford, CT, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ronald was a loving dad to Simon and Adam. He also leaves behind a special friend, Cynthia Dunham.
Funeral services were Tuesday, July 10, at 8 pm from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090.  Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 pm until the start of the service. Burial was on Wednesday, July 11, at 2 pm at the Highland Cemetery in Chelsea, VT.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Citizens Center through the funeral home.
