Thomas E. Ortolani Jr.

Hoosick Falls – Thomas E. Ortolani Jr., 71, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT.  He had resided on Classic Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, with his wife, Marion “Betty” Ortolani.
Born on August 6, 1940, in Huntington, NY, Tom was the son of the late Thomas E. and Edna (Skrivanak) Ortolani Sr.  He graduated from schools in Huntington and from Kansas State College with an Associate’s Degree in Dietary Management.  Tom was employed at the Hoosick Falls Health Center, now named the Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation at Hoosick Falls, as a Service Director.  He was a lifetime member of the St. Stanislaw Society and the F.O.E. # 2467, both in Hoosick Falls.
Survivors, other than his wife Betty, include a son, Vincent Ortolani of Maryland, stepsons, Michael Bailey of Mississippi, Zachary Valentine of Davie, FL, and Robert Okerman of Hoosick Falls, a sister, Edna Ortolani of Indiana, a brother, Jerry Ortolani of Worcester, NY, and six grandchildren.  He is pre-deceased by a son, Thomas Ortolani, and a sister, Michelle Kinney.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Karen McGovern Memorial fund through the funeral home.
