August Events At The New Lebanon Library

The New Lebanon Library announces the following August events. All of these events are free and will take place at the library which is located at 550 State Route 20.
• August  15, 22, 29 (event is on Wednesdays) – Tales for Tots Story Hour – 10:30 am. Story hour includes crafts, songs and movement activities.
• August  15, 22, 29 (event is on Wednesdays) – Hug-A-Bye Babies – noon; age appropriate stories, songs and movement activities for our youngest patrons and their caregivers.
• August  16, 23, 30 (event is on Thursdays) – Bright Beginnings Story Hour and Play Group – 11 am to 2 pm. Meet other parents and care providers while your child aged 0-5 hears a story then socializes with other children in an unstructured, educational setting.
• August  10 – Chickens from Around the World – 2 pm. Chickens visit the Library.
• August  10 – Family Movie Night – 6:30 pm; a current film suitable for the whole family. Call for title.
• August  12 – New Lebanon Book Group – 11 am. Newcomers welcome.
• August  13 – Community Drum Circle – 6:30 pm. Join musician and educator Allen Livermore for a community drum circle. Bring your own drums or percussion instruments or borrow ours.
• August  14 – Bingo for Kids – 1:30 pm.
• August  16 – Family Crafts Night – 6:30pm. Make your own T-shirt. All materials provided. Suitable for the whole family.
• August  17 – David Grover in concert – 7 pm. Grover performs his adult set.
• August  18 – Paws-to-Read – 9 am. Therapy dogs come to the Library and children read to their furry friends. And, of course, the dogs listen! Please call 518-794-8844 to register.
• August  21 – Wow Wii! Gaming for Kids – 1:30 pm.
• August  21 – Collaging with Columbia County artist Ruth Abram – 6:30 pm, for adults and teens. Please call to register..
• August  22 – Dream Big with David Grover – 2 pm. Music and storytelling for kids performed by the renowned musician. An ice cream social follows. The public is welcome.
• August  24 – Paul de Jong – 7 pm. Acclaimed cellist of The Books performs.
• August  29 – Author I. Alex Olchowski – 7 pm; a reading and book signing of the local author’s new book.
• August 30 – Rick Leab – 6:30 pm. The Berkshire musician performs with mandocello, guitar and rhumba box.
