Courtney Kellar Attends The National Leadership Meeting Of The FCCLA

Courtney Kellar, daughter of Steve and Barb Kellar of Berlin, and a junior at Berlin Central School cast New York State’s votes at the National Leadership Meeting of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) recently in Orlando, FL.  Kellar is the NY State Vice President of Parliamentary Law and Voting Delegate.

While in Orlando, Courtney and advisor Dianne Mosher attended workshops led by the National Executive Council members and FCCLA members from around the country. Nearly 7,000 members and adults attended.
Nationally known speakers such as Brian Mendler from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, Grant Baldwin, an award winning author and entrepreneur, and Heather Schultz, motivational speaker and author provided, inspiration and challenged the youth to be difference makers and to live and laugh as they lead.
Courtney returned from the National meeting with many ideas for the New York State FCCLA as well as the Berlin Chapter. Kellar wishes to thank all of those local people who helped support her fund raising efforts.
The highlight of the 2012 meeting was the announcement of the 2012-2013 National Executive Council.  Ten students serve a one year term leading this dynamic leadership organization.
