HACA Back-To-School Boost!

August 10, 2012 By eastwickpress

Help kids learn by purchasing school supplies. Again this year the Hoosick Area Church Association is collecting school supplies and back packs to distribute to children who need them at St. Mary’s Academy and Hoosick Falls Central School.
HACA Director Diane Hosterman said, “A donation of $12.50 will allow us to purchase a basic package that includes a 17” Premium Backpack, a 3 ring pencil pouch, a pink bevel eraser, an 8” glue stick, a pencil sharpener, a 12” ruler, a 12-pack of #2 yellow pencils, a 70 page spiral notebook, a 24-pack of crayons and a 5” blunt-tip pair of scissors.”
“With a $20 donation,” said Hosterman, “we can get the upgraded package, which also includes two ballpoint pens, a 12-pack of colored pencils, 100 sheets of ruled loose leaf paper, a 100 page marble composition book, a 1.5” 3 ring binder with two pockets and an 8-pack of jumbo washable markers.”
Donations may be sent to HACA (Hoosick Area Church Association), P.O. Box #1, Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090.
If you prefer to contribute actual school supplies (these or any others), there are donation boxes at all of the Hoosick Area Churches, at the HACA Headquarters, 26 John Street, at the Hoosick Federal Credit Union on Church Street, at Thorpe’s Pharmacy on John Street and at the Grand Union on Route 22.
