Inebriated Man Not On Track

On Thursday, August 16, the Hoosick Falls Police Department investigated an incident, at about 12 pm, in which a male subject had climbed on top of the railroad trestle on Mechanic Street in the Village of Hoosick Falls. It appeared to witnesses that the subject was about to jump on the tracks, causing the train to stop.
[private]Upon initial investigation  the subject could not be located. Emergency personal conducted a search of the area including the railroad tracks as well as the Hoosick River. The male subject was located walking along the river bank in an intoxicated condition.
The subject was 21 year old Kyle Winters of 125 Church Street, Hoosick Falls. He was arrested by the Hoosick Falls Police Department for Trespassing. The Boston and Maine Railroad Police assisted in the investigation and additional charges, including a civil fine, will be forthcoming.  The actions of the individual caused all railroad crossings in the Village of Hoosick Falls to be shut down for approximately one hour on Thursday.[/private]
