Lake Lauderdale Improvement Association’s 16th Annual Young Angler Fishing Tournament

August 10, 2012 By eastwickpress

The L.L.I.A.’s 16th annual children’s fishing tournament will take place on Sunday, August 19, at the Washington County Park Pavilion on beautiful Lake Lauderdale. The tournament is free and open to all young anglers age 15 and under. The tournament runs from 8 to 10:30 am and concludes with a free hot dog lunch for all participants. As always, there will be no fee charged to children entering the contest. Hot dogs and refreshments will be provided to all young anglers.
Registration opens at 8 am and all young anglers are asked to stop by the pavilion prior to getting their fishing lines wet. There will be several different age groups and L.L.I.A. is working hard to insure that all participants receive a small prize. All young anglers are required to have a parent or legal guardian on hand with them at all times.
The tournament is strictly catch-and-release, shoreline fishing only and will be conducted according to New York State fishing regulations.
In addition to the fishing tournament, L.L.I.A. is very excited to have Allison and Caroline Marschilok back for our event for the second year in a row for face painting.
If you have questions pertaining to the fishing tournament, please contact Patrice at 518-369-1377. For more information about L.L.I.A., previous fishing tournament photos and a great link to old Lake Lauderdale post cards, please visit us online at http://www.lakelauderdale.org/.
