Would you like to learn more about your antique quilt or clothing and other textiles of the 19th century? Kris Driessen, a quilt and textile historian and teacher, will present a program on these everyday items at the August meeting of the Grafton Historical Society.
Driessen’s lectures on our quilting heritage feature antique and vintage quilts and clothing from her own collection. No white gloves needed for this collection. Everything she brings can be touched and examined closely. Driessen encourages audience participation and discussion and welcomes quilts for show and tell.
Kris Driessen of Albany is an accomplished quilt maker, quilt historian, quilting teacher, author, researcher and lecturer. Her articles on dating, cleaning and just plain appreciating antique and vintage textiles have appeared in many publications.
Please join us for this sure fire hit program on Wednesday, August 15, at 7 pm at the Grafton Town Hall. This program is free, and the public is invited to attend.
