The annual Cottrell Reunion was held Sunday August 5, at the home of Larry and Patti Baker on Eagle Bridge Road. About 60 descendants of Jonathan Cottrell of Wilson Hill Road attended. After a delicious picnic and several spirited games of volleyball, the day ended with the famous Cottrell bowl of ice cream with all the trimmings.
John and Natalie Gleason of St. James, Long Island, came the farthest. The eldest present was Emma Jane Cottrell, widow of Sherman Cottrell. Mia, daughter of Kate and Eric Brownell, was the youngest present. Next year’s reunion will be held on the first Sunday in August.
