Pittstown – William T. Quidgeon, 24, of Eycleshymer Road, Pittstown, NY, died on Friday evening, August 24, 2012, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Troy on October 2, 1987, he was the son of the late Pamela A. Walker Quidgeon and William Quidgeon, Jr. A 2006 graduate of Montville High School in Connecticut, Bill worked in various construction jobs before moving to Pittstown. At the time of his death he worked as a mechanic at Dirt World Cycles of Johnsonville, NY. He loved riding his motorcycle and doing anything outside – fishing, ice fishing and outdoor fires. Bill was a Tribal member of the Mohegan Tribe of Uncasville, CT. He never wanted to be alone, always enjoying to be with family and friends.
Survivors include his father William Quidgeon Jr. and Liz Hoch of Uncasville, CT, his siblings Casaundra L. and husband Jeremy Ackner of Brunswick, NY, Katlyn A. Quidgeon and Dale Blanck Jr. of Troy and Travis S. Quidgeon of Uncasville, his loving companion, Mercedes R. Loiselle and his unborn child due February 1, 2013, with whom he resided, his nieces, Olivia, Abigail and Isabella Ackner, his nephew, Jameson Blanck, his paternal grandparents, William and Doris Quidgeon Sr. of Grafton, NY, his maternal grandmother, Shirley Carroll of Petersburgh, NY, and his faithful canine companion, Cedes, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his mother, he is pre-deceased by his grandfather, William Carroll.
Funeral services are on Thursday evening at 7 pm in the Grafton Baptist Church, Owen Road, Grafton, where Rev. Jason White will officiate. Private burial will be on Saturday at the Fort Shantok Cemetery in Connecticut.
The family will receive friends on Thursday at the Church from 5 to 7 pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to a memorial fund being set up for Bill’s and Mercedes’ unborn child. Checks can be made payable to and sent to the Thomas M.
