A Festival Of Wreathes – A Cheney Library Fundraiser

September 28, 2012 By eastwickpress

Much of the September 5 meeting of the Friends of the Cheney Library was spent discussing the upcoming fund raiser scheduled for November 3. “Love Your Library – A Festival of Wreathes” will be held in the hall of the Immaculate Conception Church, Hoosick Falls.  Festive music, decorations and refreshments will kick off the holiday season for those in attendance.  Wreathes decorated by area residents with a variety of holiday and non-holiday themes will be on display in the windows of local merchants leading up to the November 3 event when the wreathes will be auctioned off by local auctioneer Ron Seifert. A preview hour on November 3 will be held in the Church hall from 6:30 to 7:30 pm during which time refreshments will be served.  The auction will begin at 7:30. Tickets can be purchased from any of The Friends, Cheney Library Board Members or at the door. Be sure to mark your calendar for this fun-filled opportunity to support the Cheney Library.
The next meeting of the Friends of the Library will be held on October 2 at 7 pm at the Cheney Library on Classic Street.  All are welcome to attend.

Friends of the Library Officers holding one of the wreathes to be auctioned are Jaimi Shiland, President, Peggie Neville, Vice President, Silvia Plasse, Secretary, Kay Powers, Treasurer, and Jim Martinez, Member-at-Large.
