America Red Cross Blood Drive In Hoosick October 8

September 28, 2012 By eastwickpress

The Town of Hoosick Republican Party will sponsor its annual American Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, October 8, at the North Hoosick Fire House from 1 to 6 pm.
Every minute of every day, someone needs blood. That blood can only come from volunteer donors, like yourself. When blood is needed in an emergency situation, it is taken from a shelf where donated blood has been stored. Your donation of blood could help to save a life a family member, a friend, a neighbor, a child, a complete stranger. Becoming a blood donor is very rewarding because you know you have helped someone else in need. One donation can save the lives of up to three people.
So please consider donating a pint of blood. To do so you need to be at least 17 years of age, weigh more than 110 pounds and be in good general health. You will need to bring a license or other form of ID with you. If you cannot give for some reason, maybe you have family members or friends who can.
Please contact Cindy at 322-8685 to schedule an appointment or if you have questions. Walk-ins are always welcome from 1 pm to 5:30.
