Lack Of Quorum Cancels Hoosick Planning Board Meeting

September 21, 2012 By eastwickpress

by Bea Peterson
The Town of Hoosick  Planning Board meets on the third Monday of the month. Unfortunately, in September the meeting had to be canceled for lack of a quorum. The Board usually has seven members. Ric Ferraninni resigned two months ago and his seat on the Board has yet to be filled. Members Jim Morier and Steve Griffing were unable to attend the September meeting, and Chairman Jim Dunigan was ill and couldn’t attend. Secretary Karen Jennings, Attorney Denis King and Board Members Kevin Allard, John Cooney and Daryl Cipperly were on hand for the meeting, but the three members were not a required quorum of four. Rather than have the two parties interested in subdividing their properties and another party interested in a preliminary hearing wait until October, Allard suggested that the Board hold a special meeting later in the month.
New Meeting Date
Chairman Dunigan has since announced the special meeting will be held in the Armory on Monday, September 24, at 7:30 pm.
