September 21, 2012 By eastwickpress

The Petersburgh Public Library invites everyone to a visual presentation by Randy Kneer on the firetower in Grafton on Saturday, Setember 22, at 10 am. Kneer has written the book I Remember When: the Untold Story of Helen Ellett. This is the story of a courageous woman who devoted a great part of her life to observing at the Dickinson Hill Fire Tower located in Grafton and the wonderful life she led and devoted to many others.
Story Hour for pre-schoolers will begin Tuesday morning, September 25 at 11 am and will be help weekly through December 11. All pre-schoolers and their caregivers are invited to join us for stories, crafts and snacks. If anyone would like to volunteer to help with these programs please stop by the Library or call 658-2927 during regular Library hours. Enjoy the fun with the little ones!
The book discussion group will meet on Tuesday, October 9, at 7:30 pm to discuss the book Calico Joe by John Grisham. Copies of the book are available at the Library. If you have read the book, please join us and share your opinions. New members are welcome. Books are selected by members of the group so everyone gets a turn to pick out a book to be read by the group.
The Library is putting together a collection of pictures of historic Petersburgh. If you have any pictures you would be willing to let the library scan, please contact the Library. We do not need to keep the pictures, we can scan them while you wait (by appointment). We are also trying to identify various buildings and will be asking for help as the project proceeds.
