Rebecca Jacques

September 14, 2012 By eastwickpress

Hoosick Falls – Rebecca Jacques, beloved mother of Aaron Buzzinski and wife of Ronald Jacques, entered into peace on September 7, 2012, comforted and eased by her son and husband. She was 53.
Becky was innately selfless and leaves behind a legacy of generosity. As an animal lover, Becky supported every animal shelter in her reach. She was known to adopt any animal, without regret, from horses to kittens and the occasional pigeon. Her activism continued with advocating for children with special needs in the public school system and strengthening local special education departments. Her passion for bettering the lives of people and our animals extended to helping them through their passing. Becky was a hospice volunteer who was strongly grounded in her faith. Becky was also a connoisseur of color and design. Every room she designed was elegant, warm and inviting just
like the love and compassion with which she showered her family, friends and even complete strangers.
In addition to her husband, Ron, and son, Aaron, Becky is survived by her parents, John and Elizabeth Thomas of Wilkes-Barre, PA, her brother, John and his wife Debbie of Pringle, PA, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Jeannette Jacques, her sisters-in-law, Janice and Cindy, and her brother-in-law, Les, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, NY, on Friday, September 14, from 5 to 8 pm.  A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 67 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, on Saturday, September 15, at 10 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Second Chance Animal Center, P.O. Box 620, Shaftsbury, VT, 05262.
