What do you get when you combine a Writer’s Workshop celebration with a writer’s notebook decoration party? You get a “Decebration Party!” The fourth, fifth and sixth grade teachers hosted their annual Decebration Party on September 12. Students and parents turned out with their writer’s notebooks, pictures and other decorating supplies in hand. The evening began with an overview of the Writer’s Workshop curriculum for each grade level. Then students and parents joined in the fun of unleashing their creativity to personalize the writer’s notebooks. The results are beautiful notebooks that are as unique as their owners. The teachers look forward now to helping the students fill those beautiful notebooks with wonderful words!
