Delores A. Blakey

Hoosick Falls – Delores A. Blakey, 75, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012, at her residence on Church Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Blakey Sr., who died several years ago.
Born April 23, 1937, in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mabel (Ruggles) Bergeron Sr. Delores was a cook at area restaurants including the Paradise in Bennington, VT, and a seamstress at CB Sports in Bennington. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and cleaning.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Ogert, her sons, Robert J. Blakey Jr., Charles Blakey and Richard Blakey, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by a daughter, a son, a sister and five brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Saturday, October 13, from the Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls. Burial followed the Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends called at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090, on Saturday prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Hoosick Falls Police Department or the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad through the funeral home.
