Flying Deer Tracking Club

October 12, 2012 By eastwickpress

The newly formed Flying Deer Tracking Club will meet on Saturday, October 20, from 9 am to noon at a location to be announced. The Tracking Club is an opportunity for adults 18 and older to further their nature education and enjoy time in the fields and forests. We hope to offer a similar program for kids and/or families in future. Members will learn to identify animals by their tracks, recognize scat and other signs left by animals, recognize animal gaits and track patterns, follow trails through varying landscapes and uncover mysteries.
Future meetings will be on Saturday, November 17, and Saturday, December 8. We will be visiting locations throughout the New Lebanon and Pittsfield area. Please wear weather appropriate clothing and bring water and whatever else you need to be out in the elements.
To register, email Josh or call 518-794-6687, extension 5. A suggested donation of $5 to $15 will go toward future tracking adventures.
