Free Books At The Petersburgh Public Library

October 12, 2012 By eastwickpress

The Petersburgh Public Library invites everyone to stop by the Library for free books.  For one week only, October 15-20, books and videos in the vestibule are free! The Library needs to clear space for new donations so at the end of the week there will be house cleaning, and we will have space for more donations.  So, please stop by and see if there is a treasured book you would like to take home.
Story hour continues on Tuesday mornings at 11 am when school is in session through December 11.  On October 30 children are invited to come dressed in their favorite story book character or other costume for a fall celebration.  On Wednesday, October 31, at 4:30 everyone is invited to a short program geared toward age 5 and up called “Fright Night Tales and Games.” There will be a few stories and games and everyone is invited to come dressed as his or her favorite literary character or in some other costume. This will be a short program, and if you miss 4:30 you can drop by until 6:30 to join in.  It will not be a full scale party, but join us for some fun.  Feel what’s hidden in a box, and see if you can identify it.  Also, at the Library for all interested people we have a guess the number of candies, so stop by and see if you can guess how many candies and win the jar to take home.
The book group will be reading The Good Soldier by Ford Madox Ford for discussion on Tuesday, November 13, at 7:30 pm.  New members are welcome.  Copies of the book will be available at the Library.
