Elsie Marpe had a short Lecturer’s program on the subject October. The 10th month of the year’s birthstone is the opal or tourmaline. It comes in different colors and some are iridescent. She told us the flowers were calendula or cosmos.
Refreshments for the evening were provided by Edna and Allen Cornell.
