Pioneer Kids Begins At The Petersburgh Baptist Church

October 19, 2012 By eastwickpress

Pioneer Kids began on Tuesday, October 16, at the Petersburgh Baptist Church, 19240 Route 22, Petersburgh. Girls and boys in kindergarten through fifth grade may join anytime during the year. The Club meets Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5:30 pm through March 26 (except on no-school days).

Bob Hurd helps the kids play "Pin the Face on the Pumpkin." The kids are (from left to right) Ryan Longacker, Cody Hunt, Connor, Echo and Gage Sniger and Danny Hunt. Photo courtesy of Mary Batcheller.

Pioneer Kids gives girls and boys the opportunity to learn new skills, make friends, have fun and develop Christian values in a safe, loving and wholesome environment.  Club activities include Bible stories, singing, puppets, crafts, cooking, snacks and games. This year we plan to have France Day, a covered dish dinner, January Fun Day, a sledding party, Christmas caroling, visits from summer camp representatives and other specials.
Pioneer Kids can ride buses directly from school in the Berlin Central School District to the Church. Registration forms are available at the Church, by email and in the Berlin Elementary School office. There is a suggested donation of $12 per child or $20 per family. For more information, contact Mary Batcheller at 686-3166 or Batchfam@gmail.com or the Petersburgh Baptist Church at 658-3834.
