$500 Reward Offered

For months staff and volunteers of HAYC3 (Hoosick Armory Youth Center Community Coalition) worked to promote and execute the fourth annual Pumpkinpalooza. Events took place in Wood Park and the Town Park all day and festivities concluded with the elegant Harvest Moon Dinner. After all the exhausted hard working crew left the Youth Center, it happened.
[private]Hoosick Falls Police Chief Robert Ashe said the Youth Center was broken into on Saturday night after 12 am. Five laptops computers, a television and a Wii with several games were taken. At this point the Chief has little information other than that. A reward of $500 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
Stolen Items Replaced
HAYC3 Executive Director Aelish Nealon said, “HAYC3 is overwhelmed by the swift and generous action of two local businesses. John Bombard, owner of the Man of Kent, and Mike Bloomer of the Sandbar arrived early Monday morning at our Center and replaced the lost items. Laptops, TV, Wii systems and games were purchased and set up in merely a few hours. Their support is a testimony to the strength and generous spirt of our community.” Nealon added that a security system has been purchased and will be in place this week.[/private]
